So today I heard Skyrim updated again (sigh) and without thinking, I downloaded the downgrade patcher. I realized too late it would actually put me back to SE not the previous AE (for some reason I thought i can just pick and choose what version I want).
Switch to Best of Both Worlds from Full Patcher. So I'm only less than 10 mods left to finishing my mod list, but I kept on seeing mod authors suggesting Best of Both Worlds for the downgrade patcher mod. I downloaded the Full Patcher because I was skeptical about BoBW thinking some of my favorite mods wouldn't be compatible.Had to use this method, plus the downgrade patcher, then checkes everything again. Not only was it set to auto update, the manifest file wasn't "Read-Only" either. Game runs now, but I swear my PC is possessed, or Todd Howard cursed me specifically.Yes, it's expected, the downgrader needs to be updated to be aware of the new version, it usually takes a few hours, but it can also take a few days... that's why you should block updates (mark "appmanifest_489830.acf" as read only).The guide offers an option for downloading the previous version of Skyrim (1.6.640.0), but later I will explain how you can download earlier versions if you need it.
